Near the end of last week, 5, adorable, sweet kittens wandered up to my apartment building. My mother and I flew around trying to find homes for them while letting them live outside, as we have 3 cats already and a VERY tiny apartment. I managed to find homes for two already, a third is being picked up tomorrow hopefully.
And yet, I hate having to do all of this. Because no one else will even TRY and god save them- get their pets spade and neutered in the first place. I have NO money and NO room to keep doing this. And there's no animal shelter for miles. The local vet will take them but put anything down after 24 hours if no one claims them. I'm exhausted and heart broken because a dog someone ditched as well last spring ate one of the kitten while I was at work. And yet, none of my neighbors who HAVE empty rooms to spare and more money to toss about with all the things we see them with would even hint that they could take in a kitten or two until they found a proper home for it.
I'm dirt ass poor, fed up with people's horrible stupid irresponsibility around and haven't a clue how to possible raise a LITTLE awareness about pet care. And I'm sorry, I just worked a 12 hour shift with the public and came home to bad new.
